Starting the August 1st Long weekend, we are filming (in association with Reliving Marilyn Ltd) a previously unknown story about Marilyn Monroe. Backed with painstaking research, Reliving Marilyn is a look at a fragile icon, recognized worldwide for her beauty, she struggled with self-doubt, depression, and loneliness.
But this is a story of loyalty and hope, set against a background of Hollywood expectations, and Marilyn’s personal demons. It’s a love letter across time, to a departed friend, Marilyn as her fans would want to see her; classy, teasing, and shining, a light against the darkness of her own demons.
Reliving Marilyn will feature Craig Lauzon (Royal Canadian Air Farce) as Dean Martin, and Norm MacQueen (The Prime Radicals) as Billy Wilder. It stars Nadine as Marilyn Monroe, and introduces Morgan Blackbyrne to a feature film audience. You’ll recognize him from Morrighan Films’ A Civil War.
On June 8th, we are hosting a fundraiser at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club, 1405 Aylmer Rd in Gatineau, PQ. Doors open at 7:30, and at 8:30 a live show featuring Nadine as Marilyn Monroe starts. We have special surprises, free nibble, gift draws, and maybe a special guest or two.
The fundraiser also benefits Ovarian Cancer Canada in their fight against the MOST fatal women’s cancer.
Tickets are $75, and are available HERE.
If you want to help, but can’t make it to the gala, we take donations HERE.
